One joined-up service
Why IT and security belong together
For a growing business, technology is a leadership decision, not only an operational one. Separating IT support from security leaves gaps, and those gaps are where things go wrong. We close them.
Built in
Security built in, not bolted on
We build protection directly into how your technology is planned, delivered and supported, rather than bolting it on afterwards.
- Clarity, confidence and control for your leadership team
- Not a stream of reactive fixes
One partner
One partner, fewer gaps
Strategy, security and support from one team. And your website too, if you want it.
- Fewer suppliers, clearer accountability
- Nothing falls between the gaps
Size is no protection.
Attackers target businesses of every size, and smaller firms are often the easiest hit, with no dedicated IT and security budget to fall back on. Whether you’re a team of 25 or 250, that’s exactly the gap we close.
The package & the difference
Many providers stop at the service desk.
We start there.
How does our strategic IT & cybersecurity work?
Five pillars, one joined-up system, working to keep your business secure and moving forward.
PILLAR / 01
Service Desk
Real people who already know you and your systems, so issues get sorted fast, not lost in a queue. Fixing the root cause, not the symptom, so the same problem doesn’t keep coming back.
PILLAR / 02
Security Operations
Threats spotted and shut down in minutes, day or night, often before you’d notice a thing. That’s what keeps your data, and your customers’ data, out of the wrong hands.
PILLAR / 03
Technology Health
We measure your technology against proven best practice, spot where it falls short, and close those gaps, so problems get prevented, not patched.
PILLAR / 04
Virtual IT Director
Senior IT direction without the cost of hiring it in, your technology planned, budgeted and evolving around your business goals, well ahead of time.
PILLAR / 05
The Improvement Loop
Each part feeds the next. We measure and close the gaps, problems and threats drop away, support gets sharper, and the plan keeps evolving. The whole system gets stronger over time.
Our stance on security
We took the menu away, on purpose
We used to let clients choose their level of protection. Given the choice, most picked the cheapest option, and in a cloud-first world, that protects against almost nothing. So we stopped offering less. Every client now gets the protection today’s threats actually demand, as standard.
The real threat
Attacks target your people, not your laptop
Modern attackers rarely try to break your software. They go after the person and their cloud identity, the single login that has become, in effect, your digital self.
That one login can open email, files and every connected app across Microsoft 365, Google and Dropbox. It only takes one. So real protection has to cover identity, email and the people behind them, not just the device on the desk.
Protect the identity, the inbox and the person, not just the device.
One login opens everything

Active threat hunting
Round-the-clock monitoring of your environment by SOC analysts, not a tool left running on its own.
~10-minute containment
Active threats contained in around ten minutes with human-touch response, as a separate always-on workflow distinct from helpdesk SLAs.
Audit- & insurer-ready
The logs, training and breach reporting that compliance frameworks, cyber insurers and the ICO ask for, ready when you need them.
Cyber Essentials Plus certified
Cyber Essentials Plus, the standard your clients and insurers look for is one we already meet ourselves, not only advise on.
This is the TS Complete standard, not a choice.
We have a duty to protect our clients, your livelihood, your reputation, and your customers. We won’t water that down to win on price.
How deep we go
We don’t inherit your problems. We fix the ones others left
Before we change a thing, we study what you do, how you do it, and whether your technology is genuinely working for you. Then we resolve what has quietly held you back, often for years. That is the strategic strength your Virtual IT Director and Technology Alignment Manager bring as standard.
01Process
First, we learn how you actually work
Most IT gets bolted on without anyone asking how your team really operates. We start the other way round, sitting with your people and mapping the real workflow: the spreadsheet three people email back and forth, the sign-off that stalls whenever one person is away, the system everyone’s quietly built a workaround for. Then we clear what’s slowing you down and shape the technology around how you actually work.
Technology that fits how you work, not the other way round.
01
Workflow mapped, bottleneck found
02
Every source, one secured home
02Data
Then we find where your data really lives
In most growing businesses, data has quietly scattered, some in Microsoft 365, some in Google or Dropbox, the rest on a local drive or an ageing NAS, plus the files that live only in someone’s inbox. That sprawl is exactly how things get lost, leaked, or locked away the day someone leaves. We map every place your data sits, pull it into one place you control, and make sure it’s backed up and recoverable.
One source of truth. Nothing lost, nothing exposed.
03AI
And we get you ahead on AI, safely
AI is already changing how work gets done, and the businesses using it well are pulling ahead. But paste the wrong document into the wrong tool and you’ve handed client data to a system you don’t control. We help you put AI to work where it actually pays off, drafting, summarising, research, repetitive admin, with clear rules on what it can touch, so you get the speed without the exposure.
The upside of AI, without the exposure.
03
Right work, inside guardrails

Insurer & customer ready
Leisure & tourism · South West
Cyber security that meets customer and insurer demands
Larger customers and insurers were asking Teddy Mountain, a global wholesaler to the leisure and tourism sector, to prove robust cyber security as a contractual condition. We took them from minimal protection to a posture they can stand behind.
- Insurer and major-customer cyber requirements now met with confidence
- Suspect inbound mail and threats actively detected and contained
- Tomlinson now their first point of call for technology
“The value gained from having peace of mind cannot be overstated.”

Co-managed IT
Already have IT in-house? We strengthen it, not replace it
Plenty of growing businesses already have a capable IT person, or a small team, who knows the business inside out. The problem is rarely ability, it’s that one person can’t run security around the clock, cover every holiday and sick day, and be a specialist in everything. Co-managed IT keeps your people exactly where they are, doing what they do best, and puts our team in behind them for the parts no one person can realistically cover.
You keep
- Your IT person and their knowledge of the business
- The day-to-day relationships and decisions
- Full visibility and control of your systems
- Everything your team already does well
We bring
- The full security stack, run around the clock, EDR/MDR, a 24×7 SOC, email security, dark-web monitoring, backup and phishing-awareness training
- Service-desk overflow, so cover never depends on one person being in
- Senior engineers and a Virtual IT Director to escalate to
- Enterprise-grade tools, without the enterprise price tag
You decide where the line sits, keep what you want in-house and hand us the rest. Either way, your IT stops depending on one person being available, and your business gets the depth of a full IT department without the headcount. Ideal if you have a single IT person, a small internal team, or you’re growing faster than you can hire.
60-second check
Where are the gaps in your IT and security?
A quick, honest self-check. It takes about a minute and covers the six essentials every growing business should have in place: knowing where your data lives, cover that survives one person being away, threat monitoring outside office hours, independent certification like Cyber Essentials, phishing-awareness training, and a backup that has been tested and proven recoverable. No email needed to see where you stand.
How do I know if my IT and security has gaps?
Start with the essentials: do you know where all your data lives, would security still be covered if one person was away, is someone watching for threats out of hours, do you hold an independent certification like Cyber Essentials, do staff get phishing-awareness training, and has your backup been tested and proven recoverable? If you are unsure on any of these, that is usually where the gaps are. The check above walks through all six in about a minute, and a short review confirms the full picture.
What should a managed IT and security service cover as standard?
At a minimum: round-the-clock protection rather than business-hours only, a real security stack (EDR/MDR, a 24×7 SOC, email security, dark-web monitoring, tested backup and phishing-awareness training), proactive monitoring, and strategic input so technology moves the business forward. With TS Complete these are standard for every client, not optional add-ons.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a size of business you’re best for?
We’re a great fit for growing teams of roughly 25 to 250 people who treat technology as an investment. Professional-services firms especially, such as accountancy, legal, consultancy and agencies, though we support growing businesses across many sectors. If you’re smaller but genuinely ambitious, you’re welcome too. We cover the South West, from Exeter and Plymouth up to Bristol, and work UK-wide on request.
What’s included in TS Complete?
TS Complete is our package, sold as a secure outcome rather than a parts list. It’s built on four pillars: a UK Service Desk (08:00–18:00, Mon–Fri); 24×7 Security Operations; Technology Alignment (keeping you to Cyber Essentials Plus, working to Cyber Assurance Level 2 and NCSC guidance, with reviews every 4–8 weeks); and a Virtual IT Director (a dedicated senior IT leader, with quarterly strategy reviews).
Is the 24×7 Security Operations Centre really included, and is support around the clock?
Yes. With TS Complete the SOC is standard, not an upsell. You get round-the-clock monitoring with human-touch response, active threats contained in around ten minutes as a separate always-on workflow from the helpdesk, plus audit- and insurer-ready reporting. The helpdesk itself runs 08:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday, with best-effort out-of-hours emergency cover.
Will you help with Cyber Essentials, insurance and compliance?
We do, and we’re Cyber Essentials Plus certified ourselves. Your managed baseline aligns to those controls, and we keep the logs, user training and reporting that cyber insurers, auditors and the ICO ask for, ready when you need them.
What happens when we switch, and will there be downtime?
No. We run a calm, structured onboarding over about four weeks, planned around your team so day-to-day work isn’t disrupted. You’ll have a clear plan and named contacts throughout.
What contract are we committing to, and what’s the 90-day guarantee?
Strategic IT is a partnership, so we work on committed terms, typically 12 to 36 months. That commitment is what lets us plan, invest and align technology to where you’re going. To make starting low-risk, we begin with a free assessment so you see the plan and value first, and back it with a 90-day guarantee set out in plain terms in your agreement.
