Our story
Eighteen years, same leadership, same standards
Tomlinson Solutions grew out of a pattern Ian Tomlinson kept seeing: businesses that believed they were secure and well looked after, with gaps, and sometimes breaches, sitting unseen for years. He founded the company in 2008 to be the partner those businesses actually needed, one that treats technology as an investment in growth, not a cost to manage.
Eighteen years on, that has not changed. Ian remains CEO and Founder, Troy Wheeler joined as Managing Director in 2021, and we have grown into a strategic technology partner for businesses across Exeter, Plymouth and the wider South West, and UK-wide on request, with the same leadership and the same standards we started with.

We would rather fix the root cause than close the same ticket twice. The worst part of someone’s day should never be having to call IT again about the same problem, so when something breaks we ask why, and make sure it does not come back.
